Energy saving has been a perennial theme throughout almost all of our lives, even my own going back to the seventies. Political forces were at play at that time with the OPEC nations deciding that they would restrict production of oil to increase demand and therefore price. Roll forward to 2022, when political influences were at play once more, with the the war in Ukraine and Russia threatening to turn off gas supplies to the European nations. Added to these pressures are the environmental levies that we all suffer (taxes on bills to pay for wind turbines for example), due to the attempts to reduce our reliance on non-renewable energy sources.
The Bill Savers Club is a response to the high energy prices and an attempt to help the public save money. We do this through energy tips and raising awareness of the availability or energy grants available to increase the thermal efficiency of your home – more efficient boilers, internal and external wall insulation, solar, heat pumps etc..
